Summer Hero Pieces From Everlane

Everlane is a fashion startup with a difference - the company's tagline is "Radical Transparency", and this extends right through from the factories it produces in to a detailed breakdown of the the true costs involved in making each product. Plus there's more good news for customers outside of the US - international shipping is available until June 5th for a flat fee of $25!

Everlane started out making high quality t-shirts at a fraction of the cost of normal retail, and have now expanded their product range to include women and men's clothing, shoes and accessories. Thanks to the company's transparent principles and focus on maintaining excellent relationships with their factories, they're already a firm favourite with the ethical fashion crowd, but their clean, minimal look and word-of-mouth marketing techniques have also caught the attention of the world's press - just read this recent article on the Business of Fashion with founder Michael Preysman, as he talks about "fixing fashion retail" and changing the way that traditional brands operate.

My favourites from the summer collection are the Twill Shirt Dress ($85), the Cotton Poplin Culotte ($78), which would look great with my new Veja sneakers, and the Street Sandal ($120) - already so popular that there's a waitlist for the new delivery. Slick and minimal ethical fashion that's changing the face of the retail industry - sounds like a good choice to me.
